CabinetCalc Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CabinetCalc collects, uses, stores, and shares information in connection with CabinetCalc.app and related services operated by Bradley Beach, creator and founder of CabinetCalc, Kansas City, Missouri.

By accessing or using CabinetCalc, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • name, email address, login credentials, and account profile details;
  • project names, measurements, settings, notes, job data, exported selections, and other content you submit;
  • communications you send to CabinetCalc, including support requests, feedback, and beta reports; and
  • payment-related details handled through payment processors, such as subscription status, billing address, and limited transaction metadata. CabinetCalc does not store full payment card numbers.

Information Collected Automatically

  • browser, device, operating system, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, referral source, and usage logs;
  • pages viewed, actions taken, features used, exports generated, clicks, timestamps, and session activity; and
  • cookies, local storage, authentication tokens, and similar technologies used for sign-in, preferences, analytics, security, and performance.

2. How We Use Information

CabinetCalc may use collected information to:

  • provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Service;
  • authenticate users and manage accounts and subscriptions;
  • process billing, renewals, invoices, and payment events;
  • generate and store project outputs requested by users;
  • improve features, calculations, workflows, and usability;
  • monitor performance, debug issues, investigate incidents, and prevent abuse;
  • communicate service notices, updates, account information, support messages, and legal notices; and
  • analyze usage trends and beta feedback to develop new features and improve the Service.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

CabinetCalc may use cookies, local storage, pixels, session tokens, and similar technologies to remember preferences, keep users signed in, understand usage patterns, secure accounts, and improve performance.

You may be able to control some cookies through browser settings, but disabling cookies may limit Service functionality.

4. How We Share Information

CabinetCalc does not sell personal information for money. CabinetCalc may share information with:

  • service providers that help operate the Service, including hosting, infrastructure, analytics, authentication, communications, customer support, file storage, and payment processing providers;
  • professional advisors, insurers, auditors, or legal authorities when reasonably necessary;
  • a buyer, successor, or affiliate in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets; and

5. Data Retention

CabinetCalc retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Service, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, complying with legal obligations, enforcing agreements, and improving the Service.

Beta and other early-stage environments may have shorter retention periods. CabinetCalc does not guarantee permanent storage of projects, exports, or account content. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups.

6. Data Security

CabinetCalc uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and CabinetCalc cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of certain personal information. You may also have rights related to portability or objection to certain processing.

To make a request, contact support@cabinetcalc.app. CabinetCalc may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party products, services, or websites. CabinetCalc is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services.

9. Children's Privacy

CabinetCalc is not directed to children under 13, and CabinetCalc does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. International Processing

Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that information may be transferred to jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own.

11. Changes to This Policy

CabinetCalc may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions become effective when posted unless another date is stated. Continued use of the Service after the updated policy is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
